Protecting the privacy of our customers and clients is an absolute requirement at Kaberline Healthcare Informatics, Inc. (“KHI”) and on this website ("www.kaberline.com"). We have a long-standing practice of recognizing and protecting the privacy of customers who utilize our services and purchase products from us. eDocOffice.com and Kaberline Healthcare Informatics, Inc. maintain strict customer information privacy policies and we are diligent about safeguarding customer information and communications from unauthorized intrusions or unapproved use. Our close working relationship with medical, dental, veterinary, accounting and legal practices demands the highest standards in confidentiality and privacy of information.
eDocOffice and Kaberline Healthcare Informatics will conform and comply with all privacy regulations under the "Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information", as established under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Section 264 of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), and any other federal or state privacy law, regulation or rule.
KHI/eDocOffice has put in place this Online Privacy Policy to protect customer identifiable information. This policy covers Kaberline Healthcare Informatics, Inc. and eDocOffice.com partners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and subsidiaries, and applies to all customer identifiable information that is obtained when a customer requests information or purchases products or other online services.
We will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties any customer identifiable information derived from the use of our online services or purchase of products -- including customer names and addresses -- without the consent of the customer (except as required by subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the customer or others). One exception to this statement is the registration requirement of software purchased by customers which normally requires name, address, phone number, and other contact information be disclosed to the software manufacturer or distributor in order to register the software product and issuance of product serial numbers and activation or verification keys. KHI and eDocOffice cannot guarantee or warrant that those manufacturers or distributors will comply with the same customer identifiable information disclosure restrictions to third parties, which we adhere with this Policy. When KHI/eDocOffice utilizes other agents, contractors, affiliates, or companies to perform services on its behalf, we will require that company, individual(s), or entity to protect your customer identifiable information consistent with this Policy.
A customer may choose notto receive specific direct marketing communications from KHI or eDocOffice in connection with our products or other services. These marketing communications may take the form of mail, e-mail, telephone, fax, or other forms---electronic and non-electronic---and a customer’s opt-out request must be specific to the delivery method. Upon such choice, KHI/eDocOffice; (a) will not contact that customer directly, in the manner requested, with marketing messages about KHI/eDocOffice products or other services, other than what would be related to the product(s) previously purchased by the customer (upgrades, service packs, etc., and, (b) will not use customer identifiable information obtained from that customer's registration or billing information to contact that customer with marketing messages about any products or services we offer. Keep in mind, however, that KHI/eDocOffice may coincidentally contact the customer based on address, phone number or e-mail address information obtained completely from an outside and independent source, unrelated from that customer's contact information maintained by KHI/eDocOffice. A customer may choose not to receive such messages by opting out in a communication transacted via e-mail, by mail, by fax, or by telephone.
Unless otherwise provided by means of a check-box or selection button on various KHI/eDocOffice websites, web pages or order screens, the customer should compose a message to be included in the additional information section of most product order screens which states that they choose not to receive marketing messages, as listed above. The type of messages chosen to be excluded should be specifically identified (e-mail, mail, fax, telephone, etc.) If no such location is provided at the time of ordering products or services, the customer may send an e-mail to KHI/eDocOffice (privacy@eDocOffice.com) which states that they choose not to receive marketing messages. The type of messages chosen to be excluded should be specifically identified (e-mail, mail, fax, telephone, etc.).
Use of credit cards by the customer as a means of purchasing products and/or services from KHI/eDocOffice are considered safe insofar as the customer's credit card company customarily guarantees that the customer is not liable for unauthorized charges made on the internet. In particular, American Express Corporation and its various issued credit cards are protected from any unauthorized online use or charges. Many VISA and MasterCard credit card issuers offer the same purchasing protection for customers. Customer credit card information is stored securely and no receipts or invoices are printed or distributed unless it complies with the current privacy protections mandated by our credit card processing company.
If you are a consumer with concerns about the KHI/eDocOffice online privacy policy or its implementation you may contact us via e-mail at (privacy@eDocOffice.com) or by telephone at: 314-994-3880.
Kaberline Healthcare Informatics and eDocOffice joins the computer and online industry in recognizing that children, including young teens, may not be able to make informed choices about personal information requested online.
Accordingly, KHI/eDocOffice does not target children or teenagers (younger than eighteen years of age) for sales or collection of information online. We do not solicit or collect customer identifiable information targeted at children or teenagers under eighteen and do not allow anyone else to do so on our Web Site.
Finally, KHI/eDocOffice encourages parents/guardians to take an active role to protect the privacy and security of their minor children and to prevent the inappropriate use of information about their children. We support the development of technologies which help parents/guardians to control the collection and use of personal information, but that do not censor content, from children who use online services in their households.
